Maize grain

Quality maize grains for sell in Bukedea, Uganda.

We bulk and purchase quality maize grains from the subsistence farmers who are members of Kamutur Oil Seed Farmers Cooperative Society Limited.

The cooperative has over 500 subsistence farmers majority of whom are rural women who are members in the maize value chain. The cooperative supports the members by increasing their access to quality agricultural inputs, extension services and post-harvest handling equipment such as maize threshers, grain cleaner and moisture meters. These processes help to guarantee quality of the maize grain. The proceeds generated from the sale of maize is ploughed back to support the members of the cooperative to increase their productivity and household incomes.

Moisture content: Below 13.0%.

Maize grains are used in processing of high quality maize flour, cornmeal, starch, tortillas, snacks, breakfast cereals and maize bran for animal and poultry feeds.
