Naturally grown
Fuerte Avocados (green skin) from Kenya are known for their rich organic taste thanks to the natural ecosystem in which they are grown.  No chemicals are used as farmers simply plant the avocados in their family farms where they grow naturally, constantly tending to them through traditional means like manure from their animals at home.

Maturity is critical
We only harvest mature avocados, aware that harvesting immature avocados contribute negatively to the overall quality of the ripe avocado. Upon harvesting, the avocados are carefully transported to the grading area where they are cleaned and graded according to sizes or calibers. 

Packaging Options
Once grading is completed, the fresh avocados are packed into 4KG or 10KG boxes depending on the requirements of the customer.  Thereafter, the packed avocados are precooled for at least 8 hours to ensure that all the heat is taken away and have them ready for transport in optimum conditions.

Transportation is by sea or by air
Transportation is done by either sea or air, for long periods and short periods respectively. Short periods mean the fruits will arrive after a few days (mostly 1 to 3 days) while long periods mean the fruits will arrive after many days (mostly between 20 to 35 days). 

For sea transportation, only the 40ft reefer is available, and it carries about 24 tonnes (5760 4KG boxes or 2400 10KG boxes. 

Comparing costs
In terms of cost of transportation, transportation by sea is much more affordable compared to transportation by air. However, the decision to use either sea or air comes down to several factors mostly determined by the buyer, including profit margins, the intended use of the fruits, etc.
