HAMBELA WAMENA SPACIALITY COFFEE

HAMBELA WAMENA is located in the eastern part of WEST GOUJI zone and southern part of OROMIA and is bounded by Kercha woreda district to the south, SNNP (Gedeo) to the west, Shakiso woreda to east and Uraga woreda to the north the village called BUKU SAYISA.

the site is occupying an estimated area 2.3 hectare.it is 454 km south of Addis Ababa along Ethio- Kanye international road. 32 km far from international road. the project site is varied including mountains, undulating and flat plains.  the altitudinal range is between 1900 to 2400 meter above sea level with the central of HAMBELA WAMENA coffee processing site elevation being 2286meter.annual rainfall ranges from 1500mm to 2000mm with a wide variation in area and time.

Award and recognition: we got the second rank place in African Fine Coffee Association (AFCA)the reginal taste of harvest coffee competition (February 6-10,2024) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia the 20th African Fine Coffees conference and exhibition .in category Washed Arabica coffee. From a total sample of 41 Arabica coffee from nine (9) coffee growers’ countries.
